2025 – A Year of Consolidation and Growth
As 2025 comes to an end, we are pleased to share how Suyana continues to evolve to fulfil our mission of empowering individuals, families, and communities to lead dignifying and self-sustaining lives. This year was marked by steady progress across regions, strengthened partnerships, and further consolidation of our programmes.
Our Impact Management Team continued refining the tools that help us measure the outcomes of our work, ensuring our interventions remain aligned with Suyana’s Theory of Change and focused on long-term improvements in health, education, and livelihoods. This included strengthening our data systems and evaluation processes to support more consistent assessments and informed decision-making across regions.
In Latin America, our long-standing projects in Bolivia and Peru continued to advance, with notable progress in education, healthcare services, and community development. The Suyana School in Peru celebrated its first full year of operation, supported by strong engagement from students, families, and local actors.

In Africa, we solidified our presence through closer coordination with local partners in Rwanda, Uganda, and Sierra Leone. With our teams regularly on the ground, we strengthened project implementation, supported day-to-day activities, and expanded training opportunities, laying the groundwork for deeper and more sustainable impact. This included, for example, joint training sessions with communities to reinforce practical health skills and improve living conditions. In parallel, we advanced our internal assessment on how to reinforce our regional presence, focusing on improved coordination and collaboration. Through consultations with key stakeholders, combined with direct field observations, we gained clearer insights into local contexts, challenges, and opportunities, helping ensure that our next steps remain well aligned with on-the-ground realities.

In Europe, our work in Switzerland continued across both agriculture and education. We supported farming families by helping them strengthen their livelihoods and address the challenges that make their futures uncertain. At the same time, we advanced our education programmes by providing low-interest student loans, vocational training opportunities, and integration support. Together, these efforts contribute to more stable prospects for individuals, families, and communities. In Greece, we completed our long-standing collaboration with Light Without Borders, concluding the Mobile Eye Clinic project that has provided essential eye care services to refugees over the years.

Throughout 2025, partnerships with organisations such as atDta, Tauro, Straumann Group Foundation, Curaden, and several public and academic institutions played a central role in enhancing programme quality, supporting training efforts, and expanding the resources and services available to the communities we work with.
Together, these developments outline the progress made during 2025. Looking toward 2026, we will continue building on this foundation and supporting individuals, families, and communities across all regions. We sincerely thank all those who accompany our work, and we hope to continue counting on your support as we pursue our mission.
