Fundación Suyana firma un convenio con el Consejo Nacional de Educación del Perú

Cusco, April 29, 2026.- The Suyana Foundation and the National Education Council of Peru (CNE) signed a Framework Agreement for Interinstitutional Cooperation to jointly contribute to the implementation of the National Education Project 2036, as well as the Regional Education Projects in Cusco, Puno, and Apurimac.

The three-year agreement establishes a strategic partnership aimed at promoting inclusive, high-quality, and intercultural education by coordinating efforts between government and civil society to support the comprehensive development of communities. The agreement was signed in Lima by CNE President Luis Guillermo Lescano Sáenz and Suyana Foundation Executive Director Alberto Arango De La Torre.

A Comprehensive Territorial Approach

Through this agreement, the Suyana Foundation joins the CNE as a strategic partner in the implementation of the National Education Project, contributing its experience working directly with vulnerable rural communities.

A key contribution of Suyana is its territorial intervention model, which integrates education, health, and livelihoods to promote sustainable improvements in living conditions. This model is implemented through initiatives such as the Healthy Municipality Program, which strengthens local governance and promotes environments that support learning and holistic development.

In the education sector, key initiatives include the Municipal School Strategy “Mi Linda Escuela – Munay Yachay Wasi”, aimed at improving learning conditions in public schools, and the Family Strategy “Allinta Kausani Kallpaywan”, which engages families as active participants in the educational process.

Coordination for Public Policy

The agreement establishes a framework for voluntary technical cooperation based on coordination, knowledge exchange, and the creation of spaces for dialogue.

In this context, the CNE will facilitate Suyana’s engagement with regional and local education stakeholders and provide technical assistance for the implementation of its programs. In turn, the Suyana Foundation will contribute its field experience to strengthen the implementation of education policies in rural contexts.

Both institutions will also promote actions to disseminate and position these initiatives within the national agenda, contributing to greater visibility of intervention models that integrate education, health, and community development.
